BOOM CRACK! Dance Company Announces Summer Intensives in Chicago

CHICAGO, IL — Chicago dance company, BOOM CRACK!, has officially announced the return of its Summer Intensive programs this July. Designed for dancers looking to push their boundaries and level up their artistry, the company is offering specialized tracks for both teen and adult dancers.

The intensive serves as a training ground for dancers ready to immerse themselves in high-intensity choreography and technical growth. The organization invites dancers to join them this July for an experience explicitly designed for those “ready to push, refine, and elevate their artistry”.

The 2026 summer lineup promises rigorous training, highlighted by the addition of dancer and choreographer, Candace Brown as a featured guest artist. Select participants in the Adult Intensive will have the exclusive opportunity to work with Brown in an intimate, small-group setting. This elite cohort will collaborate with Brown to create a piece of select choreography that will be performed live at the BOOM CRACK! Summer Showcase. Organizers have noted that full participation in the Adult Intensive is required to be considered for this performance group.

The intensive caters to multiple age groups and skill levels to ensure tailored instruction with the Teen Summer Intensive welcoming ages 12-17 and the adult programs offering both Beginner/Intermediate and Intermediate/Advanced levels. This division also features the exclusive performance opportunity with Candace Brown. 

Both the Teen Intensive and Adult Programs will run concurrently from July 6–26, 2026. Dancers looking to secure their spot must submit their materials before the deadline of May 1, 2026. Prospective dancers can request application materials and submit their info by emailing bcdcintensive@gmail.com.
