Ladies of Hip Hop Festival Returns to New York

A major celebration of culture, community and artistry is taking over New York City this summer. The Ladies of Hip Hop (LOHH) Festival returns from July 8-12 for an expansive, week-long lineup of workshops, high-stakes battles and performances specifically designed to honor and elevate women in hip-hop culture.
Expanding its reach this year, Ladies of Hip Hop will also debut the first annual Girls of Hip Hop (GOHH) Festival for girls ages 7–15 from July 7–8. Rooted in the foundations of Street Dance and Hip Hop culture, young participants will have the opportunity to train while learning the principles and practices from industry professionals.

Spanning venues across Brooklyn and Manhattan, the week features an incredible roster of legendary pioneers, top-tier instructors and elite competitors.

July 7 & 8: Girls of Hip-Hop Festival
Young dancers will kick off the week with foundational training led by educators:

Wednesday, July 8: Opening Skate Party
The main festival festivities officially launch in Brooklyn with a community skate session at Xanadu Roller Arts (262 Starr St., Brooklyn) starting at 8 p.m. Setting the vibe for the night is a DJ lineup featuring Diyanna Monet and Sabine Blaizin, bringing heavy doses of R&B, soul and house sounds to the rink.
Thursday, July 9 & Friday, July 10: LOHH Workshops
Dancers will head to Manhattan for two full days of intensive training and community growth at the CCCADI Ilé Oyin (208 E. 126th St., New York) from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The elite master class lineup features:

Saturday, July 11: The Battles (Youth & Adult)
The competitive energy heats up back in Brooklyn at Atolye (236B 6th St., Brooklyn) from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. In an exciting addition, the 1v1, all styles Girls of Hip Hop battle will take place alongside the main LOHH battles. An expert panel of judges will oversee the action:

Sunday, July 12: LOHH Showcase + Impact Awards
The week concludes with a powerful finale at the historic Alvin Ailey Theater (405 W. 55th St., New York). Doors open at 7 p.m., with the show starting at 7:30 p.m.
This year’s prestigious Impact Awards will honor trailblazers Soraya Lundy, Amanda “Lafotographeuse” Adams-Louis, and Danielle Polanco. Following the awards, a dynamic performance lineup will take the stage, including:
