This summer, 10K Movement is hosting a range of programs and events across Cleveland, including its Street Dance Intensive and open sessions for the community.
10K’s Summer Street Dance Intensive (SSDI) is a 6-week immersive program that provides young adults and aspiring professionals with cultural history, foundational training, technique and application in five different Street Dance styles — Hip Hop, Popping, Breaking, House, & Krump.
SSDI will run from June 16 to July 25, 2026, requiring a 6-week commitment. Classes will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 4:30 PM to 9:30 PM in Cleveland.
“Our Summer Street Dance Intensive students can expect to immerse themselves into a comprehensive Street Dance curriculum, and go through a full-schedule of varied & holistic training geared towards Hip Hop dance.” Samuel McIntosh, founder and executive director of 10K Movement, said. “Students will be challenged to identify their purpose for walking through the door, and areas where they envision themselves growing within the culture and larger community.”
10K’s mission is to preserve, present and cultivate authentic Hip Hop & Street Dance culture while expanding access to high-level dance execution in communities that often lack proper resources.
In addition to its 6-week dance intensive, 10k will also be hosting weekly open sessions at North Coast Yard (NCY) from June through August, an Open styles dance battle and a block party.
